I agree, lymenet.org is probably the best place to find names of Lyme docs in your area. Also to find out if there is a support group in your region.
Good sources of info about Lyme disease:http://www.canlyme.comhttp://www.lymeinfo.nethttp://www.lymediseaseassociation.orghttp://www.ilads.orghttp://www.betterhealthguy.comhttp://www.publichealthalert.comhttp://www.freewebs.com/teenswithlymehttp://www.lymetimes.org

For information on Doctors, go to Healing Well.com, when my daughter was diagnosed with Lyme, I went on there to learn all about it. Great Website!

HI,
So sorry to hear about your daughter. Your best bet is to go to http://www.lymenet.com and go to flash sessions then seeking a doctor and write what your needs are, someone will come to your aid. Also you can go to the area that says support groups and it will list the group closest to you and they can also help you.
Good luck!! Cathy

Hello Frank,
Sorry to hear of your dilemma. It is often difficult to find someone qualified in your immediate area. However, let me quote a “Q&A”- in it’s entirety- directly out of a pamphlet put out by the Lyme Disease Assoc.Of Southeastern Pennsylvania:
Q. How do I find a good doctor for Lyme Disease diagnosis and treatment?
A. Ask at your local Lyme disease support group’s meeting, or ask an LD patient who seems to be well-informed. Doctors who treat LD generally prefer to maintain a low profile, since there is controversy surrounding this disease. The Lyme Disease Association maintains a nationwide doctor referral list, e-mail kimuffleman@hotmail.com or call
1-888-366-6611.
Be advised this pamphlet I’m quoting from- ‘Lyme Disease and associated diseases The Basics’, written by Douglas Fearn, was the 4th edition, published in 2004.
Good luck, Frank! And my best to your daughter. -M.S.
