Should I Pay Car Taxes Based On Where I Register The Car And Not Where I Bought The Car?
I bought a car in Cherokee County GA & paid 6% local taxes. I live in Atlanta GA which is 7% Fulton taxes. Atlanta Fulton County wants the 1% balance becuase I registered my car in their county. Why should I pay based on where I live? If I buy a Hamburger in a county and pay their taxes, If I eat it in another county am I stealing from Uncle Sam???
